NEW YORK, Today, Thursday, September 17, 2026: The 5th New York International Trade Fair & Chamber Annual Business Expo 2026 and the 9th Bangladesh Trade Fair 2026 will be held today, September 17, 2026, at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), 199 Chambers Street, New York, NY 10007, USA. The event will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, financial institutions and professionals from Bangladesh, the United States and other international markets.
The day’s programs will begin with the Inaugural Ceremony at 9:30 AM, followed by the Global Investment, Banking, Finance & Remittances Forum 2026 at 11:30 AM, and the International Business Excellence Award-2026 at 3:15 PM.
Organized by the Bangladesh–USA Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BUCCI) and the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with International Trade Fair LLC and USA–Bangladesh Business Links, the event is being held under the theme “Connecting Global Markets, Creating Opportunities for Trade and Investment.”
The Trade Fair initiative began in 2016 with the objective of promoting Bangladeshi products and creating opportunities for businesses to access international markets. In 2022, it evolved into an International Trade Fair with a broader focus on trade, investment, entrepreneurship and international business connectivity. This year’s event marks the fifth consecutive year of joint organization with the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, reflecting a sustained commitment to strengthening Bangladesh–U.S. business relations.
Over the years, the Trade Fair has developed beyond a traditional product exhibition into a platform for B2B and B2G engagement, business networking, investment discussions, product promotion, financial connectivity and international partnerships. Previous editions attracted more than 150 companies, 54 distinguished speakers and guests, and approximately 1,800 visitors, demonstrating the growing reach and importance of the platform.
The Trade Fair also promotes greater economic engagement between the Bangladeshi diaspora in the United States and Bangladesh, including opportunities for investment in Bangladesh. Remittance awareness and the use of legal, formal and authorized channels remain important components of the initiative. The organizers also seek to encourage the transition from “Remittance to Investment” by connecting diaspora resources with productive investment opportunities in Bangladesh.
The International Business Excellence Award-2026 will recognize distinguished business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals for their achievements and contributions in areas including business, investment, technology, finance, professional excellence and community development.
This year, the organizers have selected 6 distinguished business personalities for the International Business Excellence Award-2026, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the business sector and their important role in supporting Bangladesh’s economy by generating and bringing foreign currency and foreign exchange earnings into the country. Their achievements reflect the valuable contribution of Bangladeshi entrepreneurs and business leaders to strengthening trade, investment, remittance and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States.
The organizers emphasize that the Trade Fair is a business-focused, non-political platform dedicated to expanding trade, investment and entrepreneurship. The initiative works with relevant stakeholders in both Bangladesh and the United States to create practical opportunities for businesses and strengthen long-term economic cooperation.
The event also coincides with the 25th Anniversary of the Greater New York Chamber Annual Business Expo, making this year’s gathering a significant milestone for both partner organizations.
The organizers expect the fifth International Trade Fair to further strengthen commercial connections between Bangladesh, the United States and global markets and to create new opportunities for trade, investment and international business cooperation.
